Riverplate Background:

The company comprises Riverplate Nigeria Limited and Riverplate Associate Limited.

Riverplate Nigeria Limited was founded by Yohanna Kwada Haruna in 2006. Under his direct leadership, the company has grown into a national architectural and construction practice securing over 30 contracts. Currently diversifying into various real estate sectors of the Nigerian Economy and also seeking expansion within the UK Market.

  • He successfully runs the largest private recreation park (Riverplate Park): a facility of 14 hectares in the central business district of the Nigerian Federal Capital Territory; housing five restaurants, Kid funs ville, Tuft Arena (a five-a-side football pitch), Woodbridge Garden, Central Park, Yahuza Suya and BMO event arena among other side attractions.
  • Riverplate Associate Limited UK was founded in 2013 and runs a facility management business including valuation services with commercial and domestic cleaning services. Its major base of operation is in Edinburgh, Scotland. Haruna also volunteers with charity organisations and is currently the chairperson of Board of trustees of Ama-zing Harmonies. Also an active member of street pastors and Pilton Community Health project (PCHB) as a community researcher.

Nigera Past Projects:

  1. Led and managed the design of three hundred housing units for Ashaka Cement Staff housing Scheme, Gombe. Nigeria. 2010-Date. Contract Sum- N 1.2 B
  2. Prepared measured drawings and supervised the renovation works of 6Nos General Hospitals and 5Nos. Cottage Hospital in Adamawa State.
  3. Designed and supervised the construction of Administrative Block for Adamawa State University.
  4. Managed the Design and supervision of Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority Regional Offices and Staff Housing in Abuja, Kaduna, Port-Harcourt and Lagos States, Nigeria
  5. Supervised the Construction 19Nos. Universal Basic Education classrooms across Kaduna State. 2007 Contract Sum: N250m.
  6. Managed the rehabilitation of existing facilities of Taraba State Polytechnic, College of Agriculture and Education into Taraba State University. Designed new infrastructures such as Hostel block, Library Complex, Lecture Theatre and Senate Building. 2008- Date. Contract Sum: N
